Noise dampening in HMMWV

Morning,

Has anyone used any product on the underside of the HMMWV or inside the hood to make it a little more quiet?

While I don't own a HMMWV I do own a Unimog 404 and used this product with great success to reduce the cab temperature and noise. In a 404 the engine comes halfway into the cab. http://www.dynamat.com/automotive-and-transportation/automotive-restoration/hoodliner/
Although during the winter I do miss the additional heat that the engine provides. But being in Florida that shouldn't be a concern for you.

M998 soft top does not seem that much louder than '94 H1 wagon. With soft doors off it does not bother me. My M998 is USMC with undercoating so maybe that helps. Weight should always be considered, I think, when adding anything to the HMMWV especially the early 6.2.

From what I know, you don't want to reflect heat back into a HMMWV's engine. Those things need as much cooling as they can get.
