Have you had a chance to give it a good looking over? Do you think it's feasible to shorten the wheelbase any further?

Ive decided to listen you the more experienced guys on here and not fight with ackermans angle. I only wanted to shorten my wheel base to improve cresting hills in off road applications. So instead im just gonna fab some rock sliders.

At least you have a tractor, it's fairly short. My dump truck is the same wheelbase and you can tell it's teetered at least once.

Its probably easier to remove the needless low hanging crap than to shorten wheelbase. 99% of these trucks that have seen real off-roading have the steps wangered. Removing the steps, relocating the batts and fuel to somewhere else will raise your ground clearance considerably.

Spend a day laying under the truck and you'll see what can be relocated.

I finally got the lds pulled, everything was rusted to bits. Scrapped the doors, spare tire rack, winshield, I took off both fenders, steps, fuel tanks, and mudflaps. I have fitment issues with my flywheel housing and flywheel on my 5.9 12 valve.
I bought a chevy 2500 hydroboost brake assymbly, going with the thp602295 freightliner powersteering box, and a aluminum 80 gal kenworth fuel tank. I bought all new dog bone (hinges/joints)? Its staying 6x6, and all mechanical. Doing all new lines, (air, brakes, fuel) and all new electrical, all new hoses and fluids and filters, going to build a suv body custom for it.
Its been 2 years now and I've made little progress. I broke both elbows last November and the november before that my right calcaenus. Alas I've had a slow start due to my injuries, the biggest problem was putting up my lift, (did it by hand, no heavy equipment).
