I don't know, I'll look when I get home. I have one with out the "collars" on it, and towed 5tons just fine.

Great I am just north west of Atl. only about 13 miles from SixFlags.
Now for the improtant part...Does anyone know of a good place to go wheeling around here? Or does anyone want to make a trip of it?

Not arguing the point but there is a reason for the upgrade. I can back up a 5 ton with my wrecker and not worry about braking anything. The other can not handle the pressure. Just let me know when you get time and I will forward the info to him. Thanks

Sorry to hijack, and I don't mean to ruffle feathers, but I've seen reinforced towbars all twisted up and shattered, too. I'm sure you treat your stuff with proper respect. I guess this is just to point out to the newer folks that those reinforcing collars don't make a tow bar bomb proof.

I agree.. But they will take allot more abuse than the lighter duty one. You can brake anything even the heavy ones for tracked vehicles if you abuse it but I have seen twice as many bent or broken versions of the lighter series than the other is my point and that is the reason for the heavier pipe and collar. In this case it would be a waste of money to buy the lighter one because it could not handle the stress he would put it through. I know this kid well..:-D

So you should be recommending an armor towbar for this guy eh? ;-) Point well taken.

Both of my towbars are the non-reinforced type, and I tend to baby them a little. I won't even back up the little 715 when it's on the 'bar.

No! It was garbled up.. Not sure if it was on your end or mine. I am trying to save my cell phone after taking a drink out the front pocket of my Carharts into 400 gallon of tree sap.. I took it apart and dried it and then stuck it in a bag of rice for two weeks. It seems to be working now but has some glitches ..:-D Now it matches its owner...
