I live in California and I was wondering what kind of oil would be good to use out here. All opinion's are welcomed. I am undecided between a 15W40, 15W30, or SAE 30. Also, what brand is the best for these engines. Thanks guys, Steve

I tend to use 15W40 Rotella, too, but I've also used Valvoline and Mobil Delvac. My suggestion...use whatever name brand oil you can find on sale. I used to buy Valvoline in 5 gallon pails because it was the cheapest. I've been using Rotella because CostCo carries it now. Before that, they carried Delvac and I used that.

I didn't check "Wally's", but, in a 55 gallon drum, it's 2.12/qt.
That seems good, and, I'm sure it'll be going up, like all petro products, so, I just bought a several year supply......
