Old style horn button rubber cover wont stay attached!

Like it says, I put it on and I find it on the floor in the morning. I reinstall it go for a drive find it in my lap. Ideas?

Sounds like it may not be seating correctly. Try a little spray silicone on the rubber cover, twist and push as you re-install. Everyone that works on these vehicles should have a can of spray silicone, even if only used to re-couple Packard connectors.

Roger that, those horn covers are a pain if not fitted in all the way, with silicone or similar.

Well silicone was a big nono. I spritzed it and installed and when my hand came off the cover it was in the floor.
