The newer trucks are worth more to the average collector. Eventually, people may place a higher value on a truck that is original and has not been upgraded. However, today, people are paying large sums for mid-80s deuces because they are the newest (excluding the A3s) and presumably will have the least wear and tear. I've seen a couple of 1987 M35A2Cs bring over $6,000...at auction (one of our members paid $15K for a pristine 1987 deuce with all of the build and maintenance paperwork...try getting that much for an original gasser...ain't gonna happen). I agree with JOHNNYREB...the older trucks have value, but the added value lies in their original condition. A repowered truck is not worth any more or less than a mid-70s truck. My $.02...
