Outer rear wheel seals

I'm going back together with one of my rear wheels and has I was looking at the the outer seal. I was expecting it to ride on the beveled surface of the hub, like a picture I had seen from another link. However, the OD of the seal is only large enough to ride on the outer surface of the bearing race. I double checked my part number (19207 & 61238) and appears to be the right seal. Is this where the seal is intend to mate? It seams logical since it is a replacable machined surface. I wish I had a picture but the wife would have killed me if I touched here camera with my nasty hands last night. :D

Disregard. I just found my answer in another post. According to a “Smooth Beaver” it rides on the bearing race. I need to read more and not just look at the pretty pictures!!! :D :D :D
