Aloha All,
We just got our hands on a pretty nice M1009 shipped here from Calif. a couple years ago. Would like to start the restor/refurbish process and looking for advice on Paint for Hawaii. I know, boo hoo, poor thing, lives in Hawaii, but seriously, the sun & salt here dissolves EVERYTHING METAL. Before this happens, any ideas for sources of really good sun & salt resistant paints AVAILABLE in Hawaii? Rapco and ArmyJeepParts will not ship to me, and it sounds like maybe they don't have the best fade resistant paint anyway. Can't quite wrap my head around painting it with Latex from Home Depot either. Would like to do a somewhat correct 3 color camo, but not a purist. This will be our daily driver, we want it to last, not a show truck.
Mahalo!
