So, while I'm waiting for parts for the M1008 I decided to clean up the intake and paint it today. I used VHT high temp engine paint semi gloss black. I plan to paint it with clear coat tomorrow after i let it dry and touch up any spots I missed. I know I painted the surface of the intake that mounts to the head but I will be taking it off so its bare metal to have the correct and clean mounting surface.

I used a wire brush on a lot of corrosion and then I used a rag and tons of purple power then just washed it with water and let it dry and painted it.

Now that one is too pretty to mount - you should get another one to replace it - looking good and glad to see you making steps off the couch.
