For the time and hassle it seems easier to just use real CARC, get the benefits of the modern WD CARC II UV protection so the paint lasts longer before it fades, and the protection that paint offers. Plus CARC sticks to CARC so if you have a half-decent base that saves an absolute ton of prep work, you just have to clean and rough up what you have and shoot over it. I shoot it with a HVLP gun in a non-professional environment (including outside) and I'm happy with the results. Last price I paid from SW was about $160 a gallon w/ epoxy min 4 gallons.
