Parking Brake Lockout

I thought we just got done with a general consensus that the parking brake alone is a no go? Which it is.
Sop In the tm, and generally in the army is chock tires, and catch pan.
Don't forgot your pt belts guys. So your runaway hmmwv knows not to run you over...

Old thread revival I know.
Looking for the spec on the rectangle tube sleeve that was added to the early model parking brake lever. Typically painted red.
Looks like an easy retrofit vs $200 for the updated leaver assy.

All this talk brings back some memories, when I was a teenager in San Antonio I had a 69 GTO that had no working parking brake and the park was not functioning in the transmission, no big deal I just carried a brick on the floor board in front of the seat, got pulled over one night by Johnny Law and almost got shot when I jumped out with the brick in my hand to chalk the tire...
