parking lights go on when i press brake

When I press my brakes the front parkin lights go on is that a military thing or a short somewhere?

How old is the relay? If it's old or you don't even know you may just replace it and see if that helps. They are only $3 or so at the auto parts store.

Check your hazard switch. It might be on, with the blinker "can" for the hazards bad.

Otherwise, it might be that the wrong bulbs are in one of the rear sockets.

Another thing to check is the ground. The parking lights can do funny things when it goes bad.
