Payment declined? HELP!

I just won my first bid on govliq for a M1009.

When I check the invoices tab it shows "DECLINED". I won the auction on Thursday. Does it have to be paid for 3 days from auction win or EUC approval?

And why would it be declined when i use this card all the time and have plenty of money in my account. And I have not received any email or phone call from GL at all in regards to payment problems.

The charge amount to that account/card may have been too big that the bank system denied the charge. Call your bank to ask why specifically, this is only one possibility.

Some cards have a limit on the amount that can be on a single payment, did you check the expiration date? Wayne

Adress may have to match the adress on your account. Make sure everything is listed correctly on your account, then call them Monday. 3 days is 3 business days.

So can they automatically charge my cad the default fee if I cant get this straightened out?

The problem could be my mailing address is different then my billing address. But I have put the correct info in for my billing address so I don't see why it would not work.

I am betting its a limit thing on my card. I am just afraid if I raise my limit they wont charge my card in time and it will default. I dont want to pay a 25% default fee.

Make sure things are good with the card(like the amount) and then call GL. Things should be fine.

make sure you get it resolved within 3 business days or they will default your win and charge you 20% before they let you bid again, happen to me a month ago i had two dueces totaling 3k and i didnt catch it i had allready sent in euc but they defaulted me i reluctanty donated 600 dollars, im still twisted at them

I had an issue where my card had expired and been renewed but not updated on GL.
I won an auction and the card was declined due to the date they had on file..they did not even run it since the expiration date said it was expired. No one called me..they said they emailed me but it prob went to the spam box.
You need to resolve it or they will lock your account and charge you to get back in the game.

You will have the option to pay it if you want your account activated again.

the same thing happened to me, I caught it early enough to fix it all. For me it was a single purchase/ daily limit on my ATM card. I called my bank to have them lift the limit and had GL re-run the charge.

linx, tried messaging you on other forum, but it's screwed up for some reason. DEFINITELY do the online chat. Also call your bank/cc company. I had problems with my CC declining the charge even though it was within my credit limit on the first big lots of brass I got. It was because it was such a large single charge and out of character that they declined it. Security feature to prevent card fraud. So I had to call them and get them to specifically allow the charge. In my case USAA only allows 24 hours for the allowance, so I had to keep calling USAA like every day for a week to keep the allowance from expiring. Aggravating as ****. Keep up constant emails to everyone as well as the GL live chat. Good luck. Also, I don't think my pickup will be a good recovery vehicle for the 1009. 1009 weighs about 5500 pounds and my trailer weighs another 1500 or so. That's alot to tow with just a half ton pickup and no trailer brakes. However, if you would like to chance trying to drive the 1009 back, I'd be willing to drive with you up to fort knox and follow you back in your car.

Whenever you are going to make a major purchase on your card, especially an online purchase, call the card company ahead of time and tell them what the charge will be and who will be charging it otherwise their anti-fraud measures will cause the card to decline the charge even though you are well within your credit limit.

I had to get the limit on my debit card raised to pay for my first GL transaction, Wells Fargo acted like I was trying to get an interest free loan, but they did it.

I agree with the others LIVE CHAT! Get to the bottom of the issue and fix it!

When you state that you have enough money in your account, I can only assume you were paying with a debit/bank card... that being the case, most debit cards do have daily limits on them, mine for examply is a $500 per day atm withdrawl limit and a $5000 POS (point of sale) purchase limit. Most cards are defaulted to a lower limit... i think my card was a $1000 POS limit to begin with. I called the bank and had it increased. Some credit cards have the same limitations, you just have to check.

Well I called my bank and had my limit increased to double what I won the auction for. I had Gov Liq. re run the card, and it was declined again...errr So today I wired the money to them and let GL know that I had wired it. I just hope my auction doesn't get canceled.

oh yeah... did I forget to mention that part? oops, it took two days for my increase on my card to go through and into effect. They do it for a good reason, but man, it is a PAIN to deal with when you need it and need it now.
