Pcb and glow plug controller replacement help

So I need to replace my pcb and glow plug controller. I’ve seen and read about the different options and looking for everyone’s personal experience and opinion on what to go with for replacement. I’ve got a 2003 M1123

I opened an old Prestolite box today, and it further confirms my suspicions. It contains 3 relays and a circuit board without any integrated circuits. Looks like one relay is for ignition and one is for glow plugs, and one is for general electricals. Reminds me of the story of the brilliance...

Which box do you have now? Have you opened it to see what’s damaged inside? I just replaced the MOSFETS in my my KDS S3 box and it cost me $7 for parts vs $1,000 for a new box. If everything works except glow plugs you can build a stand alone glow plug controller with a push button to cycle them for under $50
My personal opinion if you want to get all new stuff get the KDS Smart Start box with matching glow plug controller and Wellman glow plugs.
