Picked up my first MEP-002A today

Jerry,

I thought that too especially since the overheat sensor was disconnected when I got it. But I jumped the overheat connector and it didn't have any effect. But for some reason I as soon as I jump the starter cutout it kicks right off. I just haven't had a chance to get out there and look at the switch.

Could also be a stuck cutoff switch above and to right of the oil filter.
