Here are some pictures from today’s Independence Day parade in The Woodlands, Texas. Miles (SS member Madmedic), his business partner Rick and I joined the Marine Corps League for the parade. The Marine Corps League had two convertibles, their awesome Ford and the pick-up/trailer they use in each parade. Miles was in one of his HMMWVs. Rick was in the M151, and I brought up the rear in my Deuce.

We had about 14 vehicles in the parade yesterday. More pictures later. This was the first parade for the newly formed Lewis County WA chapter of the Young Marines. The Gamewardens of Vietnam were happy to help them out with a ride on their M931 that they tow the boat with.

Parades were definitely lacking in my area this year, but having the newborn would've forced me to miss them anyway! I hope to contribute some pics to this thread next year :) Looking at all these pics has me looking forward to running my truck in parades :driver:

I did a couple of new things yesterday…

It was the first time I drove the Deuce in a parade during the pouring rain. The organizers said it would be a rain or shine event! They weren’t joking.

It was also the first time my 18 month old granddaughter rode with us in a parade! She enjoyed the truck but was very upset that she couldn’t sit in grandpa’s lap.

I have no good pictures to share on account of the rain….

We had a “his and hers” day at the Go Texan parade in Conroe, Texas with one twist… we were registered with separate groups.

My wife drove the M1097R1 with the Spring Creek Area Blue Star Mothers and I took the M35A2 to support our local Marine Corps League.

Our day started with breakfast in route to the parade staging area.
