I'd like to see how some of you have mounted your monitors for backing cameras.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Very cool!How mine is mounted.

Does that position cause any problems with the pintle?
Put mine where a rear view mirror would be. It is always in if HMMWV is on. This way I can also use as rear view mirror especially when back curtain is on and vision is restricted

It does, but currently I only use pintle for snatch rope so I turn it sideways to open it.Does that position cause any problems with the pintle?
How did u get it to show the back camera when in reverse? How did you wire it?I utilized a Garmin Streetpilot 7" commercial truck GPS with an A/V input so that I would only need 1 display that serves 2 purposes in the HMMWV. I mounted it on the A pillar low in the corner of the drivers windshield so that I could glance down without my eyes leaving the road for more than a second to see everything I needed. When the truck is in reverse it displays the rear view camera and when moving forward I can either use the GPS function or the trip computer function which is where it's set most of the time. On bright days looking down to the speedometer is a black hole and you need to allow time to let your eyes adjust from the light to the dark and on the freeway that takes too long so in trip computer mode all the pertinent information is right there at a quick glance.
My camera is mounted directly above the pintle hitch to allow me to use it when connecting the trailer and still gives me plenty of rear visibility as a backup camera.
