Does anyone have a cross reference or part number for a duece and half pilot bearing or bushing? Preferrably a bearing. I need one to fit a spicer 3053 trans..

Searched and found nothing...

Thanks.

FYI: pilot shaft diameter is 0.7465-0.7475 (19mm)
but stock bearings jump from 17mm to next size = 20mm I.D. so something needs to be adapted.

Hmm..

Well I have a 52mm flywheel bore, and I have a 19.05mm ID or 0.75"bearing from another flywheel that has a 25.4mm OD or 1", its an SCE 1212 bearing. Seems to fit the input ok if a touch loose. Dunno exactly how tight you want to have a pilot bearing

I also found a 52mm OD x 25mm ID bearing...

That's a .015" interference fit.. I wonder if I could press that 25.4mm 1.015" bearing into the 25mm 1" hole? Timken NJ2205E.TVPA a bearing in a bearing...

Or I could have a machine shop make me a 52mmOD x 25.374mm bushing to press the sce1212 into for a .001" interference fit.

What kind of pilot does an M35 use, just a bushing?

I've found sites saying normal pilot bushing to input shaft clearance should be .003, meaning a .75 ID bushing should fit with .003 clearance on a .747" shaft.. The supposed .75 ID bearing I have seems looser than .003 though.

No way !!

Better too loose than to tight. 0.003" is OK

Yes, and that's what I would use, press fit into a 52mm OD steel plug. IMHO

Well I got a 52mmOD x 25mmID bearing, and a 25mm x 18mm bushing, I'll just press the bushing intot he bearing and use a reamer to get get it within .002 of the input shaft.
