You can try to drill it and split it. you can fill it with grease and smack a tight fitting punch(or wood dowel), and pop it out, or you can use a puller like westy showed, or a slide hammer.

I have also used a die grinder to cut one out. (what a mess)!

I bet if you google search pilot bearing removal, you'll find some info.

That's it! Never used anything else.... Just fill with grease and top off with a nice plug of toiletpaper! Then take a big hammer and drive in any piece of 3/4" round stock or bolt! That old bushing will pop out right away!

The 4 finger failed after 2K miles. If you look at them both side by side. There is no reason to ever put the 4 finger back in a truck. Everything is bigger in the three finger. It is also smoother to operate.
I just ran 6 passes on the three finger at the drag strip and it worked great. I got it from Erik's military surplus. It was the best deal.

i don't understand what you're trying to do? are you trying to remove the pilot bearing in the flywheel or what? the 3 finger clutch was always use in the M800 series trucks. the army told us later, we can use them the deuces because they hold more torque and they're durable.

Well, got old Bushing removed.. the puller that Skinnedknuckles brought was just a bit to short of a reach so had to chisel it out.. But look at the shape of the thing...looks like a Lefty got ahold of it and abused it at the xxx rated movies.
well the new on is in and the pressure plate, along with new friction disc.. and throwout bearing all lined up and installed.. ( against Pauls advice) but i think it will work out .. its an easy job.. just need the right tools.. next time it will be an in and out 4 hour job..
Thank you for your help today Paul.. and Greg for all his assistance along with parts on hand... have the short shaft to hook up to the transfer and adjust the clutch . oh and paul.. I found that small red screw driver.. the one with a magnet in the handle.. hangs nice from the frame..pointing straight down.... glad I had my glasses on...
later.
