That didn't take long for prices to drop down to a reasonable price on GovPlanet. I was able to pick up three today and the most I paid was $12,500 (got one for $10,000) and that had a 6.5 and 242 T/C. One had a 6.2L and another must have been a comms truck becuse it had the 200 amp alternator. Bodies are all straight, all good tires on 12-bolt or 24-bolts and the wife didn't even roll here eyes like usual

I thought they were all being bought by some Australian guy that was going to corner the market and keep the prices at 40K each. That's what some expert on here said.

So wide! And not legal on the road, so you have to trailer it to the trail, which it is too wide for... Yeah, I'm thinking $500 is about right as well...

Some got no bids at 10k....I know a few folks who bought...not sure why, just going to get cheaper. Non runners are 5k, and that's to much, cuz you can get a runner for 10k...a new motor will set you back 3500.00

If I owned a tiny 1000 acre or bigger ranch in west Texas, or played in the western deserts, a HMMWV beats a similarly priced UTV in my opinion. But in the forest roads of the east, it's just too wide. I think the prices are coming down as the limited off-road market is saturated (and the folks that don't read the off-road and no-export restrictions before they bid learn their costly mistakes).

I've been watching for the 6.5's and 242 T/C's. I have plans for about another 10-15 of them and I know the prices will keep falling but I bought these today JUST in case sales get cut. To me it's still cheap insurance because my plan was to purchase all of them with titles and I didn't plan on using them for public road use anyways.

What's this about Australian HMMWV's?

I think I'm going to buy some more Silver, I mean, it can't possibly go any lower than it is now right?
