Proper slobber tube /Road Draft Tube routing?

I’m wondering if anyone can post a picture or point me to the correct TM that shows how the slobber tube should be routed?
I suspect mine is too short and it points directly onto the front brake hose.
I believe these are supposed to be longer, but am not sure how they would be without interfering with the driveshaft area?

I don't know about the manual. but all three of my deuces have the tube in front of the front axle, extending to about the level of the pumpkin bottom. The M185 had the longest tube, it extended well below. The other two are just a bit shorter.

Attached is a picture of the M185 during recovery from the auction (it came from Ft Sam in 2009), the blue hose is very visible!

I route mine over and behind the front axle. The reasoning is that I want to keep the hose away from the spinning top loader pinion yoke, don't want the top of the axle slobbered on and don't want to see the hose from the front. I used a corrugated 1in discharge hose for a sump pump.

I hated the sight of that ugly-a$$ tube hanging down, so I formed up a heavy-gauge wire bracket to hold it away from the u-joint, up high enough behind the axle where it's not seen, where it'll keep any oil that may drip out, or get blown back, off of any part of the truck. One end of the bracket has a loop formed just the size of the tube, the other end has a small loop formed for a bolt to pass through so the bracket can be attached to the frame rail...

No pictures here, but when I got my first Deuce, there was no slobber tube on it. A 3 foot piece of silicon hose routed it from the connection on the engine to below the riders side foot step to carry the blowby away from the engine & driveline. Not wanting to cut the hose is the reason it wound up where it did since silicone hose is not cheap, just me.
