A Cat 305 excavator with a thumb to load. My NH TC40DA tractor with forks to unload. Makes me want a dump lol.
Just lay to 4x4 pallets in the front and a strap thru both and out the back of the bed. A pull off takes 10 seconds. Rest and repeat

I like my method of heating my house. Set the little dial on the thermostat and natural gas does the rest.

The stakes are tougher than expected. Dropped a 2’ diameter maple on one, I thin the fact it’s got a cross beam inside makes it tougher. Also by heating with firewood saves me money to spend on the truck. It’s a vicious cycle.

Did a bit of similar hauling last October. I loaded several loads by hand. They were small trees, but it was still a lot of work.

you must have had some real strong TALL fellows to get those into the back of the high beds on these trucks (or a FEL on a tractor)
That was always my complaint about using the Deuce for getting firewood - way too high. Tried it twice. Wore my sons and I out. Then I found a M353 gen trailer. It has a nice low deck.

I load the logs the easy way, loading up tonight’s haul. Two more loads I hope on Monday.
