i found brand new db2 pumps for these trucks. i know a rebuilt one with the newer/updated parts is 250. his price is 180 each. i looked at a bunch of them. i could not find a date.

price seems fair. just want to make sure there not from the 80s or it dosent really matter??

thanks

Get part numbers to confirm. DB2829-4267 and DB2829-4386 are for 84-85 CUCV. DB2829-4520 and DB2829-4521 are for 86-87 CUCV. All have hardened parts. I also have a very interesting PDF dealing with issues observed running aviation fuel through them.

Not much. Most of the DB2 pumps are real similar. Mixing up pumps is more of a problem on the DS-4 pumps from the 94 and up 6.5 GM pickups. Just about any DB2 will work unless its a 28V unit from a HMMWV and even it can be made to work if you swap solenoids.

Sounds like a good one for the faq thread. One of my friends in the Navy said they fed them aviation fuel all the time, and were always getting yelled at for it.

i think a 93 pump would be a db4? they guy i was talking with a bout rebulding my pump said there really is no reason to go for one. i do have banks and 6.5 turbo kits. he said the db2 is fine. no real gain from a db4. seem to caot a good bit more too
