It rolls all the way up to the top, then stops short, roughly an inch or inch-and-a-half from the top. I can then push it the rest of the way up, but, it won't stay for very long.
It sounds to me like your regulator mechanism has a stripped few teeth at the very top of the travel. I bet if you could see the teeth you'd find a smooth spot right at the upper travel limit.
15641780 is the part number in the tm part diagram if that turns out to be the problem.
If you are on a tight budget. Just take 2 strips of metal and use as spacers. Measure how far the window drops and that is how wide the spacers will need to be. Of course it will stick out further when retracted but it will stay closed till funds are available to fix it right. That regulator is about $100. Good Luck. Easy fix temporarily.
When you go to install the new one. Keep your fingers away from the gear teeth. It is a very easy job to do, but those arms are spring loaded and if you fingers are in the way, the gears will win.
