Its always been a pleasure to deal with the Redstone GL.

In addition I would like to add if your having trouble getting a shipper out of Redstone try JT's Towing service. Hes got a big Peter Built semi wrecker and has dealt with GL before so he knows the drill. Only charged me 275 to haul a M820 off post to a near by storage lot.

His number is 256 858 3339

If your pressed for time he can at least get your vehicles off post and to a storage lot. The nearby " A storage place " 256-881-0990 or website A-storage-place.com has a very large nearly empty lot and charges less then 50 bucks a month with a military discount of 10 percent.

That is great news to hear. I hope to be putting in a bid for a duece withing the next two weeks. If I win, let the EUC process begin! :)

One question though, is Redstone pretty cool about request to see trucks prior to bidding, I'll go the extra mile to set up an appointment since I will be driving from Birmingham, but thought I would ask.

Thanks for all the tips guys....doing my homework up front with lots of reading before buying anything...

The best way to get to GL Redstone is to go south down Memorial Parkway (Hwy 231) and look for the 2nd Wal-mart.......turn right just before the Wally World and follow that road to the gate. Once you clear the gate go through two traffic lights.....take the first paved road past the 2nd light to the left and go to warehouse row. Go between the 3rd and 4th buiding and look for the GL sign.

This saves you from driving all the way across post if you come in one of the north gates.

If you do not have a military ID you may have to wait on an escort from GL.

Commercial vehicles can't use this gate except to exit.

I was stationed there as a Marine Ammo tech/EOD. I blew a lot of stuff up there! I have nothing bad to say about Huntsville or Redstone arsenal. I had a lot of great times

Having dealt with Redstone myself in the past, I have to double everyone's comments about what good people they are! However, everyone is missing the point of why Redstone GL is so good....GL Redstone is run by a former Marine! Marines getting it done is why everything at Redstone runs smoothly. Billy and I served at Camp LeJeune NC at the same time. We had about a 1/2 day conversation concerning our times at LeJeune together. Teresa is great and no one runs a big forklift better than Tim. The entire GL Crew at Redstone are fantastic people and go out of their way to assist you. Making a trip there next week if anyone needs something inspected.
