Register a HMMWV in NY

Newbie here! Proud owner of a 1994 M998. I was looking through old posts and saw some posts on my subject from years ago, so looking for updates. Has anyone had issues registering an M998 HMMWV in NY lately? I have a full title from the great state of Kentucky, and a bill of sale. Any advice? I am in upstate NY. My worry is my short vin number...

I havent registered a HMMWV but my 5 ton has a short VIN too. As long as the VIN is on the title then you should be good to go. The title you have is an official doc and NYS DMV has to honor it. If the first person doesnt help you, I would walk away and then return another day to try someone new. I had to go 3 times before I found an employee willing to work with me. I had a full NJ title as well.
