Reinforced gas pedal sheet metal ?

Hi guys I was looking at my gas pedal tonight and when it's pushed the sheet metal it goes thru flexes in toward the foot area... I don't like this! Can someone tell me if theirs does the same. I'm going to crawl under her tomorrow and see why I'm getting this much flex.

I'll get back to you guys in the am but it almost looks as if I could do reinforcement sheet over the area...

Noticed the same flexing. Easy enough to add a reinforcing plate to spread the load
