Relay questions for HMMWV

Hey all,
Doing some wiring in the HMMWV and I have a question. I have a switch panel that I don't really want to run load through the switches, so I want to use relays and just use the switches to close the load circuit in the relay. So here's my question: I have a Blue Sea 6 fuse panel being fed by 24v. One leg of that panel is feeding a small 20A 12v step down converter, that feeds another Blue sea panel. Can I use a standard 12v automotive relay and use 12v on the trigger side, but use 24v on the load circuit? I googled this, but I can't find anyone who's doing it.
