Replacing the E brake light in the dash

Mine has been painted on so much I'd like to replace it with a NOS one I have .
I can't seem to find access to it from the underside
It looks like the dash may have to be puller.
Has anyone done this before (replace the E brake light)?

Not sure what model HMMWV you have but mine is an M1151A1. Despite that, the process should be similar. For instructions, refer to the maintenance TM 9-2320-387-24-1, para 4-21, page 4-44.

I usually remove the light switch, then access is a bit easier.
