Russian (and european) Vehicles on Finnish Army

Army sales where 8 th and 9 th of october 2008. There were 648 items in the auction list. Cars, trucks, vans, ATV:s, machines, tires, parts, ect. I buy 25 tyres.

I take few pictures. Very good GAZ 66, year model 1989.

Finland makes wonderful trucks and wonderful weapons too! I have some M-39's, a finnish capture Maxim, and a finish capture DS-39. You wouldn't happen to know anyone who has parts for a DS-39 would you????

How much are the UAZ-469's there? Are they over $1500? (1,118 E)

Cool deal, that price range is reasonable. Could you give me the contact information to this dealer? Reason I ask is because one of my friends that has family there is going to ship a couple T-55's from his mothers place down this way to his. Dont know when, I think he'll wait till the cheaper seasons and if I can square enough cash by then I'd like to piggyback a little UAZ-469 with his. Would make a nice little farm truck

Is there a ready supply of UAZ parts at reasonable prices in Finland?

Seems if they are being sold off every year that there might be.

Always on the lookout for good parts sources. I have a pretty good one out of the Ukraine right now but there are a lot of little minor parts that would be easiet/cheapest to get from salvage yards etc.

I did not know that the Finish Army hat that much russian equipment. Some of the trucks look like drive away condition. Where they expensive or for reasonable price?

Finnish Army did buy a lot of USSR- vehicles in 70s and 80s. Now they sell them away. Most of them are "drive away" condition. There is sometimes "driven to the line", or "towed to the line"- text on vehicles. So you can guess the condition... You can't test them before you buy, so buing can be gamble.

Price examples, Kraz 255B 3800€, Kraz 260 (some small parts missing, very good condition) under 7000€. Prices are going up, year by year...

These Sisu trucks replace old russian vehicles. They are Proudly Made In Finland..!!!

Biggest models use Caterpillar engine, smallest Sisu A2045 runs whit Man. I like these new Sisu trucks, and I have older (1973) version. My truck is same age than I am.

Price sounds good, howerver: Where to store them. If they stand outside they do not get better. If the garage is not well ventilated, they rust very fast...

Army has seven MAZ 537 trucks. I dont know when they sell them.

Edit: Finnish army did had 10 of them, they were year model 1971 and 1977.

My english dont get any better. I have read english in school, since I was 10 year old. But if you understand me, it is enough. I read quite good, but I write not so good.
