I have three S-280 shelters. Two of them are setup the exact same way. The third one is completely empty with an AC hole in the back.

I'll get some pics of my escape hatch. Best I remember, mine has some big louvers like in Dan's pic and some smaller louvers behind that, kind of like what's still in the top of your hatch.

I think I have a complete small louver insert sourced.
Maybe a knob also.

The large louver piece is being rather difficult to locate.
Already have my new peephole installed.

Finished a totally new rewiring job yesterday.
Its all sealed up and ready for new paint outside.

Door is last thing to complete.

As Fire Fox is currently unable to access the SS forum, for some unexplained reason, he asked me to upload the S-280 Electrical Shelter TM 10-5411-207-24P into the TM upload forum. It is currently in the Upload section, until a moderator reviews ,it and inserts it into the Auxiliary Equipment TM section.

Tinstar, I believe the last tm uploaded covers the details for your door.
Perfect!
Thank you
Thank you Guy for posting that.

Have sourced all the parts I need for the door to be complete.

Interior is finished with all new wiring and lights and floor.
Shelter is sealed up tight now. They left all the bolt holes open to elements.
Had a few holes in roof that are now sealed.

Took off Fan boxes mounted on outside. The original cover plates were installed and sealed.
Air conditioning will be installed this spring.

Shelter will be painted once new parts arrive.
Its sand now, but will go back to OD.
Thinking about doing original camouflage pattern.

Wil be loaded today on my M989A1 trailer for the move to its final destination.
Will paint once its unloaded and electricity hooked up.

Thanks everyone for the pics and info
It did help a lot.

I’ve never seen two alike.
They literally made them for almost everything.
Photo dark room to radio shop to post office to ???

I sure do love mine.

I'm putting one on a toterhome. Small shop. Mill, lathe, chainsaw repair and chain grinding. Relief work. Retiring soon.

A side door means that another shelter can snug up to it.

Just before it was moved to final location and hooked up.
The missing hold down on the door vent was installed right after this pic was taken.
The small a/c that I installed did a great job of keeping it cool.

Big Thanks to SS member CUCVRUS my door was restored back to its original glory with all original parts.
