I just cannot understand why someone cannot go out and just blow stuff up.....

Of course that was in the Socialist State of Minnesota and no doubt their COMMISARS have the same sense of humor the COMMUNIST STATE OF NEW YORK do

When I was about 15 a friend and I mixed up some nitroglycerin (stupid, we know) and blew up a junk car. The police did show up because part of the cars sub structure landed on a neighbors house, but they pretty much said"don't do it again" and that was all. I guess times have changed :cookoo:

Seeing as you failed to get them all with the initial blast you should of picked off the remainders with a 22

Viewing the footage I kinda don't think the location had anything to do with the reaction.

I am sure that if one used Tannerite regularly to rid the property of pesky stinging insects the tree huggers would have a fit.

Still, I cannot understand why they gave the guy so much of a hassle in MN. After all, none of the pieces came down on other people's property did they?

These days the whiney liberals have no sense of humor....

Well seeing as he shook a Nuclear power plant and set off it's emergency system requiring a national response, investigations etc.... Who knows how much tax dollars his moment of fun cost us.... Plus now he has made the politicians perfectly aware of one of the last legal explosives we can play with.... It is just a matter of time, so stock up boys:roll:

Well, all kidding aside, I agree that the stunt was ill conceived and a dumb idea. There are reams of law books chock full of laws written in response to actions taken that were of a similiar lack of intelligence or even less if that is possible.

Sadly, the law of the land is the law of the lowest common denominator and that means that because one idiot does something stupid, all people must be treated like idiots even when they are definitely NOT IDIOTS!!!!

NEW YORK STATE and several others are worse yet with an overblown NANNY STATE MENTALITY and since the bureaucracy only knows how to increase its numbers it is growing exponentially. I fear this is a terminal condition much like cancer. Society will ultimaltely collapse under the weight of the government employees and they salaries and benefits.

Some day my residence will have to change and the next place I call home will be a state where there is the least in terms of busybody state laws.

I once interviewed a BATF agent and asked him if it was actually illegal to make explosives for entertainment purposes.

His reply was that they (the agency) looks at "intent".....why are you making them and what are you going to do with them. This is not to say they won't arrest you.....just helps determine how long you go to jail for if they decide to charge you with a crime.

Storing them will prob get you in more trouble than actually whipping up a batch and using it immediatly. There are a lot of regulations on the safe storage of explosives and ammo and a lot of them end with "a fine of not less that $10,000.00 and/or ten years in jail'."

The genie is out of the bottle as far as explosives are concerned....the formulas for most commercial and field expedient explosives are available if you go looking.

No, Not a political statement on Steel soldiers. I actually happen to be a "Libtard" Congress is Congress, The extent of their job description is spend money and save the people from themselves. Doesn't matter who or what side of the political isle you fall on they all do the same thing. Lets not be throwing stones here. I like explosives just as much as the next guy.

hey the truck up in pieces and bugs blown to the north pole. heck as long as you are not using it to kill people or causing a safety hazzard. they should leave people be. they think cause one bad apple is out there that everyone is a bad apple in the barrel. unless you are controled by government or army. people in the real world might need this knowledge later in the future against the bad or rotton apples. believe me if i saw a bomb active and knew how to defuse it. i would or aleast know where my *ss and legs are going to land when it goes off

Hornet Safety

Just a cool old thread bump and friendly reminder to open your doors and look for pests before jumping on the seat and starting your MV.

046.jpg

After filling the M207 Shop van with fuel and lifting the hood to scare any cats out of the fanbelts, I jumped in the cab and turned on the ignition switch. The Early Deuce has the pump in the tank so I stuck my ear out the door to listen for the buzz of a fuel pump. The buzz started coming from inside the cab and by the time I looked ahead I was surrounded by black flying things.

Remembering my big, tough brother in law's visit to the hospital earlier in the day because of a wasp hit to the chest, black out and swelling lips.....I somehow left the drivers seat and ran like a locomotive with a bad bearing, to safety.

Not sure why I didn't get stung. The hole was behind my right knee in the drivers seat and I was in the truck looking out the door for at least 30 seconds. Carrying all those spiders out of the house might be paying off. Thought about rescuing the hive and putting the seat outside but they wouldn't let me get close after sitting on them. A little flying insect Raid sprayed in the seat was plan 'b'.

I got lucky so lets be sure we look the trucks over real long and real good before jumping in!

A few bad quality genius phone photo's of the Early deuce seat tear down and hornet house exposure.

Has it really been 10 years?

Spring is here, the grass has riz, do you know where the stingers is? Looking over a truck for the first time this year and it's cold enough this is just a warning.

Before you open the hood, open the door, before you sit on the seat.........check your hole for noise. This is the second seat that had wasps move in, directly behind where a leg goes.

Wiley Wasp warnings, be aware.
