I have never seen a cucv that the doors closed easy. My doors are lined up very well, I put new doors seals in as I rebuilt everything. Still have to close them hard. I will look at the youtube university to see what I can do.
New seals will do that if you don't adjust the striker to allow for the new material instead of the 40 year old rubber.

If you ever wanted a baseline refrence compare the door behavior with the original, then with no seal at all, then with a new seal. You should be able to adjust it to your preference with a better refrence.

Will adjusting the striker change the position of the door? Right now when I close the door, granted it is a hard close, the door is aligned all the way around.

If you don't have the round piece of plastic around the striker you can make one out of half inch pex pipe. Slice the side and roll it on the striker. Will make closing the door very easy. I have done it on all mine.
