I should add as well that I'm not sure what the extra O ring is for. There is one in the kit as well as on the plug.
Yea that's the part number I originally provided. But I wanted to get it done sooner than later and sourced the seal locally. kit was like $8 The seal kit came with o-ring too i assumed it was for the adjuster and did not use it. Here's some pics of how I replaced the seal.
What it looked like when I pulled out the box. Was defiantly easier to just remove it no reason to struggle with it still in the truck I figured.
Cleaned it up with some brake cleaner and a brush and removed the snap ring
Next I used a pick and removed the dust seal
then I took small drill bit with some grease on it and carefully drilled a small hole int the seal and inserted a small 2" screw, careful not to nick the seal surface.
Then I took a pair of side cutters and pried out the seal off the input shaft end. then I lube the new seal with some ATF and used appropriate deep socket to drive in the new seal. lubed and slid on the new dust seal and then snap ring and put her back up in the truck.
