I was reading up on early armoured personnel carriers when I came across the Sd.Kfz. 251 - one of the earliest and most widely utilised German half-tracks of WWII. It was one of the Wehrmacht’s primary armoured personnel carriers, and deployed across multiple battlefields. The vehicle featured heavily in the Wehrmacht's four-pronged attack on the Eastern Front on 5 July 1943.

It is reported that more than 15,000 vehicles were produced for the war.

Please share if you know more about these wartime tracked carriers, I’d love to learn more from you guys!

I get from U tube, about 4 times a week, Clips that show restoration, finding, pictures and everything under the sun, from German vehicles from WW2. Often are clips there from the Kfz 251. There are several museums here in Europe that have wonderfully restored vehicles. Just what is your interest? And what are you looking for?

I kinda have a thing for multi-purpose armoured vehicles. Vehicles that span an array of variants and roles. I hear of the German halftrack having such an advantage, which subsequently impacted the Allies to develop their own halftracks.
