Serial number info, truck history??

Is there a way we can still get this info? I saw this awesome thread is closed:http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?45889-2010-VIN-Info-Thread/page78. I'ld love to get this info on my truck.

1959 Kaiser Jeep w/ winch

Stock Number: 2320-077-1617 (?)

Serial Number: 024012661

DAAE: 07-59-33

No bumper markings that I can see.

It looks like your right, from David Doyle's article Deciphering the codes: Kaiser-Jeep and AM ... - Military Trader
Kaiser-Jeep didn't start till march of 1963.

Hmm. Wonder if I have a repro data plate or something. Says manufactured in 1959.

Not sure I don't see any frame numbers. Might be buried in paint.

Look on the outside drivers side front frame, probably just forward of the wheel. It should be stamped in that area. Might be covered in paint, just sand lightly until you see it.

I highly suggest you find the number on the frame and validate it. On a truck that old, it could be on the driver or passenger side. If on the passenger side, it will more than likely start with an M followed by numbers.

Something doesn't smell right about this truck/dataplate.

That data plate is way to clean and shiny for 55 year old truck.
