Shifter lock

Newbie question: Is this shifter lock something someone made or where can I get one?

Thats a cool idea mounting the Lock bar to the floor. I have seen them mounted to the firewall. On those you have to have the truck in Reverse to lock in place. Good thread..!

It's a good idea but looks like You are limited to one position you can lock it into. I always leave the truck sit in the opposite gear of which way it would roll.

The chain option works well. Plus it makes a great 'melee' weapon...

The trouble with locking it in gear is if someone hits the starter switch without engaging the clutch it may crank and take off.

You are right wreckerman. In a non-theft scenario this could lead to some smashy-smashy. But, I still like the image of a would-be-crook trying to get away in 1st gear...
