Shortening drop side beds....

I want to do a bobbed deuce this summer. Already bought a decent looking drop side and waiting on EUC clearance. I'm hoping a drop side bed can be cut down because a drop side bead would be handier for me to have. Anyone ever cut one down?

Never shortened deuce dropside sides before but I did radically shorten a Unimog once upon a time. The principle should be the same.

you can cut it down just like a standard bed. Just measure 2x and cut one so it all lines up right

I think the drop side beds are easier to shorten. Sawzall w/ a torch blade and a cutoff wheel make pretty quick work of it.
