Singles on Rear of M35A2C

I am running singles on the rear of my 67 AMGEN M35a2c. I am using the original tires and bud rims. I just removed the outer wheel and installed lugnuts like the front.I have seen pictures of this setup but their hubs did not stick out. My hubs protrude 7 or 8 inches. What am I doing wrong if anything?

Hubs are reversable.

I'm a new owner. Do the hubs disassemble easily? I have pulled the whole wheel and drum assembly to repair a brake cylinder

Go into the advanced search, look for flipping hubs in the deuce forum. There are multiple threads with pics.

Hub Flip

The hub flip is not hard but it helps to have a big press to get the studs out of the hub.

Don't drop them on your foot or scrape the spindle threads when you slide them off.
