Spare tire safety chain

I took my spare off and I don't have the safety chain (I have the lifting chain). From my understanding this is a common missing item. Can someone post a picture of the type of hooks that are used? I can make one up but want to know what was used from the factory or official replacement. Also can you post the side of the chain and how long it is... Or even better yet if someone has one for sale... but I haven't see any...

Mine was a bit of a tight fit so I added the D ring just to give me a little more length. I don't have any measurements and sorry but its 100° out right now (not a euphemism it's actually 100° out and I don't do well in the heat).

I found an old post on eBay. You can count the links but no idea on the gauge chain. Do to the size and weight of the chain you may get away with a lighter chain. the tire weighs around 400 pounds so a chain rated for a around 1000 pounds will provide plenty of margin. i not sure about the large ring as seen in picture. You might be able to fabricate that or a larger add a link/ D-ring may work.
