Spring Maintenance / Oil Leaks

I'm getting ready to do my spring maintenance on the truck and have just a few questions. I'm doing everything but the hard lines on the brakes and have NOS parts in hand. I've got oil leaking out of the output shaft on the trans and input shaft on the t-case. Does anyone have seals available for them. I've also got an oil leak coming from the trans input but I've been told that's normal and not to worry about the oil it's leaking out of the bellhousing hole. Is there a seal on the input / output or not. The trans was a little higher than 1 knuckle before it drove to the rally (180 miles one way) and now it has some wet spot's) (drip's don't drop/Class 2) since coming back and the oil level is very slightly lower and the breather's are fine. IF that's normal, than thanks for the replies, IF not, let me know what needs to be done to get this truck ready for inspection.

Thanks,

Joseph

The two places I go for all my seals on my M35-A2 (you dont say BUT I am guessing this is what your talking about) is Memphis Equipment or Deuceman 51 (fellow SS memeber) Between those two sources the seals should be taken care of!

No seal on the trans. input. Seems to be best if the oil level is about one knuckle down. When you run it the oil heats up and

expands. The input side has some spiral grooves that will direct a small quantity of oil back. You might want to drain a bit out

so it doesn't get on your clutch. Other two locations have seals, sources as above and more.

HS, Those are good, I think it's my trucks way of saying I should have driven it too the GA Rally rather than contracting that job out. As small of a leak as it has, I'd probably get by for years just adding a little oil at a time but I do prefer a leak free truck. Never had one while I was Active and have never seen a leak free one since then. The Military only seems to get concerned if it's antifreeze or fuel. Other than that, replenish what seems lost and keep driving. Brakes will still get a thorough workover / replacement.
