There is a small fitting on the head of the outlet of the pump mechanism. It is inline + opposite the outlet line.
Maybe hex drive. Doesn't matter. The other end is 1/8" NPT. Just screw a gauge into there forever.
Then one can tell if one has the 3 to 7 PSIG out of the in-tank fuel pump that is necessary.

Was looking at that fitting the other day and thinking about doing that to mine, but was sure my pump was toast and didn't want to lose prime so I left it be.

Will the booster pump draw fuel from the tank? Absolutely. There are many people, such as yourself, who have a non-functional in tank pump. As long as the system stays primed its no big deal. However, if you change filters or spring any form of air leak in the system it becomes difficult to reprime everything.

In this case since he appears to not have any leaks dumping fuel on the ground or back into the tank the 2 most likely causes for the dribble of fuel is either a bad pump or a restriction in a line.
I will get a elec pump to replace this one, it told on its self today I went to check something and the pump wouldn't come on, a small bump to the pump it came on, its not a big deal to replace, thanks for all the help

My pump would not come on the other day, upon inspection I found a loose connection screw under the cover. It had not been apart in years. Makes me wonder how much it ran or not going down the road.
