That's a M26A1 Pacific "Dragon Wagon" tank retriever from WWII. The M26 was armored and the M26A1 was the soft skin version. What vehicle was the chain drive??

The M26 & M26A1 prime mover was the Hall-Scott 440. The engine displaced 1,090ci. (17.9L) ran on gasoline, and developed 240hp. at 2000rpm. It would be nice if someone could step up and save this M-26A1, it's a rare piece of American Military History.I am Truly Impressed with the drivetrain used on the M26. I would think that the drive system used would be dated at the very least. Thanks for the photos Troop!
I am going to look into the M26 and see what is so great about the unit. Were the prime movers used the same engineered system as well.
