Can anyone tell me the ID of the copper tube that is associated with this adapter. I picked it up for pretty cheep and figured I would just add it later .
It appears to be 1/4 NPT (so black iron pipe). I don't have any 1/4 BI here, but I do have a right angle elbow I took off a fuel filter assy on an 002 that I believe is 1/4 NPT, and it threaded in fine.
I ran a 1/4" NPT die over the end of a piece of 3/8" OD aluminum tube for mine. You could probably just use a 1/4" NPT hose barb and stick a piece of braided nylon hose on it.
Yes, csheath has the right idea. In fact. I recently bought one similarly constructed adaptor for Nato cans. It has barb with hose and a nice weighted brass screen filter at the bottom.
