Something makes me think the photo is in Italy (I don't know it's the "feel" of the picture). Are you sure there were NZ units in France?
I wasn't there when the picture was taken but the info I found on this picture is all I know.

You got me with that one, bigmike (and made me laugh).

I apologize; didn't mean to put you on the spot. What I meant was "do WE know if there were NZ units in France".

It's the desert look to the ground and the mountains, and that house. Let me go google a little and see if I can pin this down.

My M105A2 arrives Tuesday along with his buddy, another of the same. The one entered here has bows in the bed and the cover still wrapped neatly and all is wire-tied to the inside of the bed. I hope that means it has not been in service since getting MWO work or even just given a go over and CARCed. This trailer will look real good pulled behind this truck. So please vote for Gottaluvit's M105A2! It would be so happy knowing you all liked it.

Here's a link about NZ units in theater during WWII and from what I can tell all the activity was either Mediterranean or North African.
So the photo might be Greece or Italy or somewhere similar, but not so sure that's taken in France.

But, for sure? I admit; I can't say.

And does it affect the voting AT ALL??? No!

I got my M105A2s home yesterday. The one up for votes here even came with a well protected TM and a not so well protected camo folder that is a maintenance/service record folder. Looks like this unit was in Luxemburg. Most of the papers are ruined from water damage, but somewhat legible.

I go for the Indian as well. As Borgward was pushed out by the inferior Mercedes, the far superior Indian (mechanically) was pushed out by Harley (better marketing, lousy product which I would not mind having at all).

Next argument why to vote for the BigMike's Indian: it makes the MV of the year a much more interesting contest with a wider range of vehicles.

bigflew got my vote before these pictures were posted. I tried voting for him again as soon as I saw these awesome pictures, but for some reason the site will not let me vote twice (let alone the 82 times I tried to vote for bigflew). Can we get a mod to look into this issue? In the mean time, everyone else should vote for this awesome truck!

The voting rules are the same here as in national political elections. Only dead folks are allowed to vote more than once.:rules:

I got the trailer here up for votes, at my physical house Christmas day and gave it a good go over yesterday. Removed the air filters and blew the hoses clean by hooking each hose to my 5 ton's emergency air hookup and cracking the air. Both hoses blew a bunch of junk out. Also, removed and cleaned the air tank drain valve. It had mud dobber/wasps mud packed in it. Reassembled the air filters and hooked everything up with air valves closed. Set both parking brakes and drug the trailer with no wheel roll. Then cracked the valves and got it rolling on gravel around 5 mph and slammed the brakes. Both trailer wheels locked. All the lights, to include blackouts and blackout brake lights, work. Then I put the neatly strapped bows on and spread out the paulin/cover. The cover is brand new and the only damage from UV light is the left snap strap came unsewed and about six sections of rope were eaten by UV light. Here it is with the cover on it. Come spring I will powerwash and paint/touch up everything. This one is going to be my portable tent for camping. 20151227_094905.jpg
