My best friend was 6 steps away. He grabbed me, screamed, (We were in a building with seven 45 KW gen sets roaring away) at me to keep my eyes closed, and drug me 30-40 yards to our "Rest Room Facility." A one hole toilet, one sink, phone both sized building. Shoved my head under the sink faucet, and held me there till I was compleatly soaked. It was about just above freezing. My glasses saved me from serious damage. Then we went back to work.
Wow. That man needs a lifetime beer supply on the house.

Ahem... Back to the subject at hand... 😀😂😁

Bertha is also the "prime mover" when I need to take her, supplies and my M715.

Until recently I had the option of loading up the M1061A1 behind her for a road trip...

I also picked up a tow bar and light kit, so I sold the M1061A1 and now tow the M715.

For road trips to Bolivar, Texas:

Or when I need both vehicles at the shop so I can work on them both!

And she will always get me where I need to go... (my speedo reads ~5mph under with the 53's)

Are those manual hubs on the 715? Makes easier towing

The Unimog 406.145 has a torque converter and a clutch. You have to change gears like a manual trany but you can stop at the light and drive further at the 6th gear if you want.
This is for a jerk -free pulling or pushing.
The last pic is scrapped from www but it´s the same model.

yep... after a complete change of clothes and a complimentary sink bath with baking soda for the glasses, outside i went with a couple boxes of baking soda and a garden hose for the tractor's bath .. The battery top was blown clean off.. Then the cussing started, 6 volt heavy-duty batts were 90 bucks at the time and still are stupid money .. Was way more bothered by the cost and the extra work / lost time than the explosion .. Just another day of "fun and potential excitement". ;)

I bet you had to meditate with some "Ohms" to calm down...

Did you charge the batteries to your credit card?

Was their much resistance from the wife about bringing the old clothes inside?

Are you positive you got all of the acid off of you?

Would you say that was a negative experience in your life?

I think he got lead down the wrong path but reacted correctly to the current state of affairs.

Today's project using the 816 candidate, the shop mascot (bobcat) had a breakdown so he got a ride down the street to the other shop. And a photo op while Joely and I were out among our other projects
