38 the 29th of this month. 2 Million miles and counting riding the rusty ribbons of steel in AL, MS, LA, TN, KY, IL, IN, NE, CO, WY, TX and NM... A 228 mile ride on a loaded grain train will make you feel like you had your rear handed to you by an 800 pound gorilla... That same ride twice in one day on Amtrak feels like an elephant kicked you...

Over 60 and still in decent shape considering the crazy/stupid stuff I subjected myself to between sports and working on the drilling rigs including helicopter jobs in Alaska for 10 years.

I turned into a paper pusher the last 7 or 8 years so I need to join Patracy's Getting into Shape group. We have some pretty good hills near the house and the dog likes our walks, so starting with that.

Is it possible to "unvote" your age and then vote it in again with the older age? If patracy makes a unique auto-backup every half year or so, we can see how the population is greying or how much young blood is coming in?

(I know its more work for Patracy again, but is for a good cause).

My clock ticks another year in early August, but I'll still be three years from advancing to the next age bracket on this survey.
From my perspective, that allows a 3-year project timeline for implementing any software updates.

I joined SS around the same year this thread was born, but I would have been in then same group only by a few days had I voted then. Time sure seems to move fast...

Being now one of the 7.18% reminds me of the funniest things I heard last year.

"Don't worry too much about retirement, it don't last long."
But boy, it sure will look very long.

Actually, all over Europe the standard more or less obligatory retirement at 65 is being raised. By the time I reach that border, it will be raised to 66 already.
