So I have my new deuce but my insurance agent is being retarded. He is telling me he cannot get me insurance on the truck b/c no companies will cover the truck. My record is clean as a whistle and I am 31 years old and married. No problem there I think he just sells for the wrong companies. My question is for those of you who have insurance that I have read for 300-500 per year. What company are you going though so I can dump this guy and get an agent who can help me?

Thanks a ton!

I have insurance through progressive and have also used Hagerty insurance. Hagerty and Grundy are agreed value plans and sometimes have restrictions. Just shop around and find an agent that deals in classic and collector cars. They usually are the best at finding decent rates and plans.

Being licensed in all 4 states around me, by the Duck , the bad news is we don't do property, or automotive ! Supplemental and Life only !

May have to call Flo, or the Gecko !

Only part time now, so I don't spend as much time ducking off or ducking around !

I got quoted the same so it must be a nationwide market system, I only drive them once or twice a month anyway so i went collector but Im VERY happy with the agents they just laugh and ask what strangeness im insuring now they dont even question it. I was going to ask about concurrent boat insurance incase i wanted to float the gama goat but decided that might be pushing it

Ya the agents here in Halifax are awesome to deal with. I love state farm. They loved it when I took the deuce in just to show them what they helped me insure. They loved it haharofl

I have a State Farm commercial policy on mine. If you want to participate in parades, make danged sure you ask the underwriter for State Farm if they cover parades. That is the only thing they would NOT cover on mine. This conversation was in the agents office with the underwriter on speaker phone.

A local State Farm agent was buying and selling Dueces. looks like SF would be easy to go with on the big trucks I would say.

OK, this is NUTS!!

I just got done with a long conversation with my insurance agent today while getting my Progressive Commercial policy cranked up on my Freightliner.

I tend to get way ahead of myself at times trying to cover ALL the bases on matters such as this (paranoia is a good thing). So while we got the big truck ready for the summer I quized him as to whether Allstate( I have all my personal vehicles and the M35 on Allstate) has a webpage somewheres so I can look up any generic exclusions to their policy. He asked why and I said I go to a web site often (SS) and one topic that keeps coming up is insurance-what company covers and what don't and I want to make sure Allstate really is covering my M35 and I want peace of mind that I am REALLY covered.

He did some calling and gets off and says Allstate guy tells him they don't insure ANY military vehicles, then tells me since I been on Allstate that if I have a claim that they would probably pay but then would drop me.Boy, sure makes me feel secure !!!![thumbzup]

Then goes on to say that Progresive won't cover any MV's either. He tried to see if we could put the M35 in with the commercial trucks because of the weight, they said the weight aint the problem. Its an MV and we dont write MV's.!!

WTF!!! I mean really, is my agent that screwed up, or are the Companies themselves really that fickle!!??

He did call Geico and they(he says) tell him that they will insure the M35 no problem but he does not carry them.

I did call Geico last fall to get a quote and was VERY specific in making the gal understand just WHAT the m35 is and she spent time with the underwriter and they are good with the MV. I thought about switching from Allstate but wanted to make dang sure Geico would cover MV's before I left Allstate where I had(I thought I had) coverage.

Bottom line here--check and recheck to make sure your agent knows what these are so you REALLY are covered.I been with Allstate since about 1972 and had the M35 there since 2008.

We have Farmers Insurance and had ZERO issues getting coverage. Your insurance agent told you he could not get you coverage because he is Stupid. We have full coverage with windshield and towing service included. (I pay $25 deductable for a new windshield when I need one do to all the rocks on the roads we have during winter) We pay $262 a year (thats 21.83 a month) with a $200 deductable. Good Luck and dump that idiot! On a side note.... After my insurance agent saw my Military CUCV M1028 for the first time he asked me if I had any of those cool military trailers. I just so happened to have 6 left I told him. He bought one! He then later asked if I had any connections for military diesel generators. I also just happen to have 3 on trailers no less. Sold him one of those as well. I really like my Insurance Agent!
