Just rinse the fittings with some brake clean and install, You will be fine. It comes from the outside of the line and is not a problem once they are installed.
I wasn't thinking when I typed my last responce...making it sound like the inside of the lines were rusting...LOL. Been that kind of day. It's just the threads/hardware that is exposed to the elements grinding off the threads.
