Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Thanks AA. Will be a roofed and screened space eventually. That deck with the outdoor carpeting looks great, QJ.
Thanks Clay J. I do plan on pulling my 250 shelter equipped 105 fairly often, so will have a swing down side stair for the deck. That way doesn't matter if trialer is hitched or not.I like this concept. I pull a hard top M105A2 with mine and that interferes with getting in and out of the box so I usually just unhook it which has been difficult since I don't usually camp in even terrain. I've seen decks built onto the trailer but this style the trailer could just be pulled behind it. I thought about putting a side door on it too, but that would reduce cabinet space. You also gain more space under it too!
Haha, thanks. But bare feet don't like the non slip ladder steps. Don't ask how I know. That is real nice. It just naturally leads one to ask if you take your boots off, before or after you go up the stirs?
Good idea Jake. Bet the little ones appreciate that. ( kiddie scooter in background ).Looks great! My steps are just like that. I covered them with carpet. I used door entrance mats. Cut to size and put tarp eyelets in the corners. Used zip ties on all but the bottom step. I used springs to hold it on so I can remove it easy, just for those muddy spots.
Ouch!!!
Oh man, and I spent all of that money on a foam mattress!
I love the MagDrills:Took off this week for some much needed R&R, mostly been working on the 109. Tried my hand at using a mag drill. Does a good job as long as surface is large/thick enough for it to stick. Pretty fast and beautiful hole. Just be sure you are drilling a virgin hole. If you drill by a hole that is already there, you WILL break the cutter. Don't ask how I know that.
Was going to rent one for $115./day, but met a guy at the Parade Monday that loaned me one. May buy it from him too.I love the MagDrills:
- I don't think I could ever justify the cost of buying one.
- But when you need them, nothing else will do.
I take my work to a machine shop and pay them whatever lump sum we negotiate when I need MagDrill work done. I can afford that.
